IIT JEE, AIEEE, EAMCET are some Common Engineering Entrance Exams that lay good path for the students career. So Lakhs of students will participate in these Engineering Entrance Exams. To get success in such highly competitive Engineering Entrance Exams one must start their preparation as soon as they join in Intermediate. For such students is going to help by providing the Engineering CETs Long Term Guidance. We will collect the chapters which are common in IIT JEE, AIEEE and EAMCET and will provide the main formulae, shortcut methods, preparation tips from experts.

Strategies to be followed :

• Make realistic study plans
• Assess priorities, assets and difficulties
• Follow a normalized routine atmosphere at home should be recommended.
• To take frequent breaks.
• Not to strip off TV or entertainment and outings.
• Feel comfortable about oneself. That imagining extreme consequences and worst situations is of no use and needs to be discouraged.
• It is helpful to make the student see what he can accomplish in the remaining time is not negligible.
• Constant encouragement and reassurance is essential from all significant members in the school and family.
• It is important that the student is clear about how to take the examination, how to tackle questions and how to manage time.
• Students tend to magnify failures and try to talk to them out of it. They should not demean themselves, manage time.
• Advise them to contact the teachers or counselors if they feel low or anxious or disinterested in studies.

• For improved concentration, motivation, work blocks
• Know your concentration span, study with breaks.
• Work out best time for concentration.
• Group study for difficult subjects.
• Do not let previous results discourage you – identify your weak areas from previous exams. And work on them.
• Time management plan must be made for all subjects.
• Choose a study place with minimum distractions and autosuggest to your self about your resolution.
• Try to coincide study time with the time, you would be giving an exam.
• In case of average achievers, master what you know and are comfortable with.
• For low achievers, master the essential information first.
• Prioritize the workload. Give your best concentration time to the toughest subject.
• Repeat your learnt work so the recall in exam is easy. Work not repeated or revised is easily forgotten.
• Try to plan your revision time by drawing up a timetable. Build in time for the things you enjoy – like watching you favorite TV programme, going out with your friends, or going to play football in the park.
• Give yourself a few treats – pamper yourself with a long hot bath, or listen to your favorite CD for an hour after you have finished your revision.
• Relax with what you know before entering the exam hall.
• Do not get anxious about the result – cross that bridge when you come to it…options await.

• Student can fail to do well if they fail to cope with stress. Parents should guide their children in planning, organizing and setting a timetable.
• To avoid a stress situation for the child the parents must provide right kind of motivation and a conducive environment.
• Help the child to develop self-discipline self-direction, self-confidence and a sense of achievement.
• Just good schooling and tuition are not substitutes for emotional cushioning.
• Help the child in maintaining his confidence especially when he seems discouraged by his dropping marks or grades. Do not displace your anxiety on the child.
• The achievement goals should be realistically set according to the child’s capability.
• Do no mix academic issues with family conflicts.
• Praise your child when he does well. Encourage the child’s performance with positive statements like, “well done”, “you can do better”, rather than saying “that was not enough”.
• Work out your child’s schedule with him instead of nagging him. There could be learning problems.
• Do not harp on previous failures or results.
• Under achievement may be due to some children believing it is safer not to try than to try and fail.
• If achievement expectations are too high then some children would prefer to be criticized for being lazy than being considered not good enough.
• Humor relieves tension. Be light and humorous with the child.
• Try to gain your child’s confidence and discuss his problems with him. Help him to find a solution.
• Exams are not the end of the world.
• Accept that expectation for every one to do well is unrealistic, as many won’t pursue this for long.

Hey friends....

How to Cope Up With the Stress ? Stress Management Techniques

Coping strategies refer to the specific efforts, both behavioural and psychological, that people employ to minimize stressful events. Coping with stress begins with learning to give yourself permission to be happy. Some people play the part of a victim, insisting other people make them feel stressed. People who are not skilled at coping with stress will say their career makes them feel stressed or their spouse adds stress to their lives. Ultimately, coping positively with stress is about taking responsibility for your feelings and your reactions to stress.

Coping with stress means not trying to be a superwoman or a superman. You can not be perfect and you can not do it all. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help when you are overwhelmed and busy.

Coping with stress means, you are easy when it comes to criticism. You do not expect too much from others or yourself. Moreover, coping with stress is about being happy with what you have.

For some people, coping with stress means taking a break from the worries of their daily lives through escapism such as a movie or playing a video game. Other people’s idea of coping with stress involves hobbies they enjoy such as gardening or drawing.

In terms of coping with emotional stress, the best way to handle stress is by sharing your feelings. Talking to a friend or loved one after having a stressful day is a great way of coping with emotional stress. You don’t have to do it alone.

Coping with stress is also about being flexible and living a balanced life. Neither let others impose their points of view on you nor reject them altogether. Try to be patient instead of judgmental, listen to others and think it over before taking a decision.

If your strategies for coping with stress are not working, seek professional help. A psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker or qualified counselor may give you better ideas for coping with stress than what you have tried on your own.

When you actually make up your mind to seek professional help in coping with stress, then think of a list of situations and things that you feel add stress to your life. Be prepared to explain how stress affects your career, your family, your physical health and your happiness. Think about the biggest hurdles of your life and your strategy to overcome it.

Following are some strategies of coping with stress :

Get organized - Coping with stress is all about planning. You can plan to fail or plan to succeed. Organize time for work, family, hobbies, spiritual time, time with friends and time alone, time for exercise and time for relaxation.

Visualize the best outcome - Coping with stress is knowing how to deal with a stressful situation before it occurs. Rehearse how you are going to handle it. Picture yourself being successful in coping with stress.

Don’t Postpone Actions - One of the best strategies for coping with stress is not to put off actions until tomorrow if you can do it today. Coping with stress becomes more difficult when you defer. Do your least favorite chores first, followed by rewards.

Be realistic - Set realistic goals. Emphasize quality over quantity. Work at a leisurely pace, taking breaks often.

Sleep, eat, and exercise - Coping with stress is all about treating your body properly. Eat food that nourish you, exercise and get plenty of sleep.

You probably know some people who are not good at coping with stress. They often look like haggard, as though they did not get enough sleep. They are often pessimistic, viewing the glass as half empty instead of half full.

People who are not skilled at coping with stress will often feel powerless to change the world around them. They don’t take responsibility for their feelings or their lives. Instead of using a sense of humor and learning to cope with stress in a positive way, these people blame others for their woes in life.

If you are interested in coping with stress, find a mentor, someone who is skilled at coping with stress in their lives. Model their behavior. You may find a mentor who is a yoga instructor or someone who meditates.

Meditating is an excellent way of coping with stress because it is a time when the mind is silent. If you have trouble thinking of nothing, reflect on positive moments. Listening to beautiful, peaceful music, the sounds of the ocean or birds chirping are also spectacular ways of coping with stress. Nutritional supplements can also be very beneficial when coping with stress.

Assess your current stressors and explore ways to respond -

Generate a list of current events that produce stress in your life. (i.e., moved to new location, work or school demands, balancing priorities, job promotion)
You should ask yourself how you cope up with stressful experiences. Assess if you have a healthy or unhealthy coping style.

For example:

After identifying stressors and coping styles, you can begin to modify your behavior -

Be aware of your physiological and emotional reaction to stress.
Recognize what you can change (your reactions to stress, internal thoughts).
Incorporate good coping skills into your gamut.
Practice healthy coping skills daily even when intense stress is not present, (this prepares you for times when you may feel overwhelmed).

Relaxation Techniques -

• Recognize what activities you consider relaxing.
• Be specific when exploring your options. You might consider the following going for walks meeting with friends reading for pleasure listening to music taking a bath
• Begin practicing relaxation techniques like : meditation, deep breathing exercises, progressive relaxation (muscle relaxation)
• Decide which relaxation technique works for you and practice daily :

Managing Physical Stress -

• Along with improving your ability to relax, you must assess diet and other strains on your body.
• Aerobic exercise can reduce anxiety up to 50%.
• Good nutrition (a well balanced diet) will improve your ability to appropriately respond to stress.
• Get an adequate amount of rest each night.
• Reducing caffeine intake will help you manage your anxiety (2 ½ cups of coffee doubles the epinephrine level).
• Smoking cessation is important, as nicotine is also a stimulant.
• Acupuncture has also shown promise.

Managing Psychological Stress -

• If you have multiple stressors (deadlines, increased responsibilities), you must prioritize your time.
• Initiating a time management schedule remains a positive way to reduce stress and anxiety.
• Break large demands into small, manageable parts. One task should be handle at one time.
• Understand the priority of the work and work accordingly.
• Identify your goals and work toward them.
• Take direct action when stress arises- identify your needs and articulate them.
• Acknowledge your thoughts and feelings concerning the stressors in your life.
• Develop a support network to rely on in times of need.
• Remember to be kind to yourself.

A – Z of Stress Management : :

Following is an action plan to tackle stress:

Always take time for yourself, at least 30 minutes per day.
Be aware of your own stress meter: Know when to step back and cool down.
Concentrate on controlling your own situation, without controlling everybody else.
Daily exercise will burn off the stress chemicals.
Eat lots of fresh fruit, veggies, bread and water; give your body the best for it to perform at its best.
Forgive others, don’t hold grudges and be tolerant — not everyone is as capable as you.
Gain perspective on things, how important is the issue?
Hugs, kisses and laughter: Have fun and don’t be afraid to share your feelings with others.
Identify stressors and plan to deal with them better next time.
Judge your own performance realistically; don’t set goals out of your own reach.
Keep a positive attitude, your outlook will influence outcomes and the way others treat you.
Limit alcohol, drugs and other stimulants, they affect your perception and behaviour.
Manage money well, seek advice and save at least 10 per cent of what you earn.
No is a word you need to learn to use without feeling guilty.
Outdoor activities by yourself, or with friends and family, can be a great way to relax.
Play your favourite music rather than watching television.
Quit smoking: It is stressing your body daily, not to mention killing you too.
Relationships: Nurture and enjoy them, learn to listen more and talk less.
Sleep well, with a firm mattress and a supportive pillow; don’t overheat yourself and allow plenty of ventilation.
Treat yourself once a week with a massage, dinner out, the movies: Moderation is the key.
Understand things from the other person’s point of view.
Verify information from the source before exploding.
Worry less: it really does not get things completed better or quicker.
Express: Make a regular retreat to your favourite space, make holidays part of your yearly plan and budget.
Yearly goal setting: Plan what you want to achieve based on your priorities in your career, relationships, etc.
Zest for life: Each day is a gift, smile and be thankful that you are a part of the bigger picture. Go through this article : ... 0Skill.pdf

Students may get dreams that they were writing the exam .From morning on wards one may feel nervous ….if the books are in front of them also they are not able to concentrate on lessons. Their eyes will be reading the words but they cant understand what they are reading . They will call their friend and ask about important Questions .once again they think about their Exams and get a doubt weather they can write exams well? and score good marks? At the time of examination each and every student may face stress in little quantity .This will be also helpful for the student to score good marks . Completion of important subjects will give some strength and also gives confidence.
• If one or two topics in your subject is not understanding by you don’t waste time on it and leave it and concentrate on other subjects.

Break is Necessary :

Studying hours together may lead to headache so relax for 5 to 10 minutes ,at this time you should not watch T.V .By listening to music you can relax your mind for some time .If you Start listening to music in leisure time it will be helpful not only for relaxation but also for remembering what you have studied.

hey friends...

Exams Season –30 days – One who Overcomes the stress will be the Winner

Though the students are good enough to work on the issues and problems they get in the schools and colleges but at the time of exams they are shivering with fear and that too final exams are going to be started. So the Exams season has began and these 30 days the students who overcomes the stress will be the winner. As the Intermediate Exams have been started the students are now in stress and here are some useful tips for the students from the experts to over come their stress and to be the winners in the exams.

The Aspirants who are appearing for the Intermediate exams should be positive in these three aspects.
• They have to think in a way that they have completed 12 years of there studies and why can’t they get at least 35 marks to get pass in the Exams.
• The Lecturers are one who makes hipe on the students by saying a class first student has the capability to get good marks and a state level rank and thus the students are through in to stress and so students should be know about their capability
• Another one is parental stress. The parents will think getting good marks in the Exams is the only way to know the students capacity and they will force them to read. So Parents and the Lecturers should motivate them and not put stress on the students.

Good Time For Studying :
For Every students it is the best time for studying in the early morning 5′o clock to 7′o clock. As thats the Best time for the aspirants to go through with their preparation because in that time the students mind will be peaceful and what the students have studied will be stored in the mind. The students should try to understand the Lecturers sayings in the classes and focus on the basics and concepts. Group study will be really beneficial as the students have the opportunity to share the known and unknown things with each other. finally one should take care that the place in which you study should be peaceful.

Rest is Compulsory :

The students should not study continuously and they have to give rest to their mind so that it will be cool and the aspirants can go out and walk for a while to get relaxed and at that time they can have a review on what they have studied in that time. The students must do the work which they like for five minutes so that the mind will work efficiently. Studying late nights with out sleeping will effect you while appearing the exams so be careful.

Sacrifice the Programs like IPL and World Cup matches :
In this Exams season the IPL and World Cup Matches are being a huge distractions for the students. so the students must sacrifice viewing such programs as they will include external pressure too. Its fair that any Indian want India to win the World cup but its not fair if the students forget that the Exams are the World Cup that they should win. so in these 30 days the students should be careful and keep such things at distance.

Role of Parents :
One of the Major thing is parental stress. The parents will think getting good marks in the Exams is the only way to know the students capacity and they will force them to read. So Parents and the Lecturers should motivate them and not put stress on the students. So Parents should give freedom for their children deciding their career.

Sleep, eat, and exercise – Coping with stress is all about treating your body properly. Eat food that nourish you, exercise and get plenty of sleep. You probably know some people who are not good at coping with stress. They often look like haggard, as though they did not get enough sleep. They are often pessimistic, viewing the glass as half empty instead of half full.

The Aspirants should not fear for the Exams they must have the confidence to crack the Exams and their preparation will give them that confidence and So be prepared and be Confident to be an Winner.. All the Best.. Source : ... he-winner/

Hey friends....'

Exams Time – Diet that students should take to Improve Concentration and Mind Power

In Exams time the Brain Requires 10% more Glucose which is extra for what we require every day. For the students it is necessary to have 2,000 calories of power and 1/6th of that will be utilized for the brain. As the students will be under stress at the time of the Exams to over come the stress they require more energy. The National Nutritional Food Laboratory’s Scientist named Damayanthi had explained the link between the Food taken by the students and the effect of it on the studies of the students. As per the data based on the Research done by the National Institute of Nutrition 5 years ago. They have made research on the students who took good diet and the students not taking such diet and came to know that the students who follow the good diet are much sharper and have good mind power where as the Negative results were obtained in others.

• Good Diet Increases the Concentration and Mind Power
• Master Plan for Good Diet
• Milk and Fruits are must every day as a part of their diet.

Exams time :
This is Exams time and the students will feel tensed for every issue. As they are focusing on the Marks and Ranks in the Exams and they didn’t even think about the food too. Though the parents will be trying to bring it to the notice of the students that they didn’t have their lunch they will not care. In the case of the students in the Hostels and Rooms will automatically loses their weight in the Exams time. But the Experts says that the aspirants should eat time to time to improve their Concentration levels and the Mind power. The students should follow the Diet Plan at the Exams Time says the NIN Scientist Doctor Radha. She says that the students will plan a schedule for their studies like that only they have to prepare a diet plan and must follow that. Don’t eat the stuff which had ‘coco’ as they will effect your mind at the time of the Exam and better prefer the stuff prepared by your mother at Home.

Why the students don’t take food at Exams time :
• A fear on the Exams will make the students tensed and thus they don’t focus on the food and thus if they eat food in little amount also they feel heavy and Hunger dies.
• Some students wouldn’t have completed their syllabus and as the time is coming to appear the exams their focus is on the preparation only and thus they don’t pay attention towards the food and hunger.
• Even the stress laid by the Lecturers and the parents to study and get good marks, Ranks in the exams is also another cause.
• Some of the students don’t eat if the food is not tasty. Especially the students in the Hostels don’t eat as they feel bore to eat the stuff which is same every day.
• Late night studies are another cause. As the students will not eat any thing in the morning and that will also effects the Hunger as they will be taking Tea and Coffee at Night. Source : ... ind-power/
