IIT JEE, AIEEE, EAMCET are some Common Engineering Entrance Exams that lay good path for the students career. So Lakhs of students will participate in these Engineering Entrance Exams. To get success in such highly competitive Engineering Entrance Exams one must start their preparation as soon as they join in Intermediate. • Student can fail to do well if they fail to cope with stress. Parents should guide their children in planning, organizing and setting a timetable.

How to Cope Up With the Stress ? Stress Management Techniques

Coping strategies refer to the specific efforts, both behavioural and psychological, that people employ to minimize stressful events. Coping with stress begins with learning to give yourself permission to be happy. Some people play the part of a victim, insisting other people make them feel stressed. People who are not skilled at coping with stress will say their career makes them feel stressed or their spouse adds stress to their lives. Ultimately, coping positively with stress is about taking responsibility for your feelings and your reactions to stress.

Coping with stress means not trying to be a superwoman or a superman. You can not be perfect and you can not do it all. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help when you are overwhelmed and busy.

Coping with stress means, you are easy when it comes to criticism. You do not expect too much from others or yourself. Moreover, coping with stress is about being happy with what you have.

For some people, coping with stress means taking a break from the worries of their daily lives through escapism such as a movie or playing a video game. Other people’s idea of coping with stress involves hobbies they enjoy such as gardening or drawing.

In terms of coping with emotional stress, the best way to handle stress is by sharing your feelings. Talking to a friend or loved one after having a stressful day is a great way of coping with emotional stress. You don’t have to do it alone.

Coping with stress is also about being flexible and living a balanced life. Neither let others impose their points of view on you nor reject them altogether. Try to be patient instead of judgmental, listen to others and think it over before taking a decision.

• Good nutrition (a well balanced diet) will improve your ability to appropriately respond to stress.

• Reducing caffeine intake will help you manage your anxiety (2 ½ cups of coffee doubles the epinephrine level).

Always take time for yourself, at least 30 minutes per day.

Tips for the Students on How to Get Rid of the Stress that we are Facing

Basically this is an Preparation season for the students who are appearing for their +2 and also the Engineering Entrance Exams . So many of the students try to study more than 8 hours excluding the time that i spend in the college, I think thats the cause the students are getting Irritation if any body talks when they are studying. Thats because of the Stress that a students feels. Here are some tips for the students on How to Get Rid of the Stress that we are Facing

Make sure you can see doors and windows from where you sit
In a busy Places avoid being near entrances unless it’s your job to greet people – otherwise you will be distracted whenever someone comes in
If you share your space with others, have agreements about where things go and what you won’t tolerate
Use your instincts rather than fashion to guide your choice of decor. Aim for colors that are sympathetic to the purpose of the room
Eliminate reflections and glare from TV and computer screens
Replace poorly designed tools, furniture and equipment – if they don’t do the job efficiently and are not a pleasure to use they will cause irritation
If something intrudes on your concentration settle yourself about it consciously or your body’s systems will continue to wonder about it
Take frequent breaks and move around don’t study 8 hours continuously
Make sure there are some pleasing natural things around you . Stress is condition of somebody in under pressure. Stress can come to you if your body and mind over capacity to conduct activities every day. Below some tips to remove your stress and trust me this is very useful for you:

1. Put good effort on your planning.
2. Keep in mind, if you failed some day, then next time you should be success with lesson from your failed.

To reach the Targets that you have set in the Exams one must have Concentration towards what he is aiming at. Mostly many of the student have some disturbances on the issue like how they are going to write the Exams, how to over come the Stress and how to be peaceful while preparing and Appearing the Exams. If student thinks that ‘Each and every student is preparing well but my preparation is not so good and how I can write the exams……! ‘Rather than this Negative thinking if he thinks that ‘I am studying my level best and I can answer these exams well compared to previous exams ‘ he will be successful .If every student shows this kind of attitude stress is not at all a problem .By making friend ship with positive thinking student you can come out of negative thinking automatically . Generally at the time of exams students faces more stress , that they have to fulfill the desire of their parents and to get more marks than their co-students.

Role of Surroundings:

If the surroundings are not well it may also lead to stress .so we have to search for a good surrounding which should not disturb our concentration. If you choose a open area with cool air it will be helpful. After selecting Studying time and place every day you have go there for studying. Changing of place of studying and timings frequently is not good.

Time Management:

Time Management plays a major role in the success of the students. If you are avoiding T.V and Cell phones at the time of preparation you can’t waste time. Avoid friends who will talk about unnecessary things and especially the students with Negative attitude, as they can indulge Negative vibrations in your mind too. Time table that can be followed by them should be followed for their preparation by this stress can also be managed.
• Studying without a proper preparation strategy is like walking in Darkness. so make decisions when to complete their syllabus based on the Exam dates . one must decide which subject they have to study based on the dates of the Exams. so the students can give priority for each subject based on the exams dates and their Strengths . Completion of important subjects will give some strength and also gives confidence.
• If one or two topics in your subject is not understanding by you don’t waste time on it and leave it and concentrate on other subjects.

Break is Necessary :

Studying hours together may lead to headache so relax for 5 to 10 minutes ,at this time you should not watch T.V .By listening to music you can relax your mind for some time .If you Start listening to music in leisure time it will be helpful not only for relaxation but also for remembering what you have studied.

Don’t underestimate on Sleep:

• Time should be allotted for subjects by using time table you have prepared and it should be followed.
• Completed topics should be written point wise in a note book this will be helpful for him while doing revision. Ie,. Note Making will be useful,.
• Up to that date what you had read should be reminded more. Don’t go for new Topics.
• Studying Continuously without break is not recommended ,relax for 5 to 10 minutes for every two hours.
• With proper time management one can avoid stress
• By Spending some time with your family members and doing meditation at leisure time your stress will reduce.
• When you are studying you should not neglect on food and sleep.

Proper Diet Management:
If the student has proper diet management also at the time of exams he concentrates on studies rather than food. At this time student must take nutritious food which will improve your concentration. Exams Season –30 days – One who Overcomes the stress will be the Winner

Though the students are good enough to work on the issues and problems they get in the schools and colleges but at the time of exams they are shivering with fear and that too final exams are going to be started. So the Exams season has began and these 30 days the students who overcomes the stress will be the winner. As the Intermediate Exams have been started the students are now in stress and here are some useful tips for the students from the experts to over come their stress and to be the winners in the exams.

The Aspirants who are appearing for the Intermediate exams should be positive in these three aspects.
• They have to think in a way that they have completed 12 years of there studies and why can’t they get at least 35 marks to get pass in the Exams.
• The Lecturers are one who makes hipe on the students by saying a class first student has the capability to get good marks and a state level rank and thus the students are through in to stress and so students should be know about their capability

Good Time For Studying :
For Every students it is the best time for studying in the early morning 5′o clock to 7′o clock. The students should try to understand the Lecturers sayings in the classes and focus on the basics and concepts. Rest is Compulsory :

The students should not study continuously and they have to give rest to their mind so that it will be cool and the aspirants can go out and walk for a while to get relaxed and at that time they can have a review on what they have studied in that time. Exams Time – Diet that students should take to Improve Concentration and Mind Power

In Exams time the Brain Requires 10% more Glucose which is extra for what we require every day. For the students it is necessary to have 2,000 calories of power and 1/6th of that will be utilized for the brain. As the students will be under stress at the time of the Exams to over come the stress they require more energy. The National Nutritional Food Laboratory’s Scientist named Damayanthi had explained the link between the Food taken by the students and the effect of it on the studies of the students. As per the data based on the Research done by the National Institute of Nutrition 5 years ago. They have made research on the students who took good diet and the students not taking such diet and came to know that the students who follow the good diet are much sharper and have good mind power where as the Negative results were obtained in others.

Exams time :

• Even the stress laid by the Lecturers and the parents to study and get good marks, Ranks in the exams is also another cause.
• Some of the students don’t eat if the food is not tasty. Especially the students in the Hostels don’t eat as they feel bore to eat the stuff which is same every day.

Exams Time – Tips to be followed by Students & their Parents – Doctor’s Suggestion

Its Exams Time and the Aspirants appearing for the examinations will be trying to perform their best for their bright future career. So this is the time for student to have a grip over the subject that what they have studied all these days. Students may feel stress because of the Competition and Toughness of the Exam. Here are some tips that the aspirants appearing the Exams should follow to reduce stress.

Tips to be Followed :

• One Day before the Examination students must Collect all the Necessities Required like Pens, Pencils, Scale, Eraser, Sharpener and Geometry Box etc.
• Students must verify their Hall Ticket number on day before the examination if possible.
• Students must reach the examination center half hour before the time of the examination.
• Unwanted Papers and objects Should not be taken in to the Examination hall.
• One should Verify whether they have written the Hall Ticket number on the Answer Sheet and Question Paper or not.
• Students must See all his surroundings if he notices any papers or materials he should complaint to Exam Invigilator, other wise he may face some problems.
• Read the Question paper and answer the Questions which are easy first and then go for the tough ones..
• First Attempt the Questions which you are confident about the answer.
• Relax some time for every half hour. By strong breath in and breath outs you may feel some Relaxation.
• By doing Yoga, Meditation and walking your mind will be relaxed and also it will increase your concentration power.

Thing that Should not be done :

• Students should not Study in nights without sleep because they may feel sleepy while appearing their exam
• Before writing Examination Don’t go for new Topics it is better to Revise Topics what you have learnt.
• Some Students study while they were in the way to examination Center. This is not proper way for students it may lead to Stress
• Students should not Lean to wall while studying . Selection of Place for Studying is a major issue to be considered while preparing for the exams.
• Consumption of Coffee and Tea is not good habit while studying at night.
• Avoid the students who always think negatively, they may indulge negative vibrations in our mind too. Though we have prepared well for the exams we can’t give out best in such situations.

Tips to be followed by Parents :

• Don’t be over Exited During Examination time.
• Comparing their children With other Students and commenting on them is not good job.
• Parents should maintain a Friendly relationships with their Children.
• Encouraging Students by Identifying their Strength and Stamina.

Day before Exam :

• Student should sleep at least 8 hours at night. Lack of Sleep may cause many health problems.
• Taking light food at night is Essential
• While Writing Examination keeping their foot to floor will reduce some Tension.
• Students should think always positive as Negative thinking may lead to stress.

Suggestion From Doctors side:
Students must Responsible for their health while writing Examinations. Proper Food, Sleep and Exercise will Reduce Stress. Students should Select open places and good surroundings for studying . Taking light food is Essential ,consuming oils and Non Vegetarian food will damage health at the time of Examination.
