Placement and Salary details and Statistics of IIT Bombay 2009

Introduction:

IIT Bombay, established in the year 1859, at Powai is one of the centres of academic excellence in India and once of the best institutions on earth. The official Website of IITB is http://www.iitb.ac.in/ .

Placement Procedure:

1. The Placement Office sends invitations to companies.
2. Logins at http://placements.iitb.ac.in are created for companies interested in recruiting.
3.Company fills in a JAF (Job Announcement Form) containing details of the job offer (pay package, place of posting, allowances and other bonuses) using their online account.
4.If the company wants to conduct a Pre Placement Talk (PPT) they send a request.
5.The JAF is made available online to the students, along with any other information furnished by company organization.
6.Placement Office allots dates to companies for campus interviews.
7.Interested students show their willingness to appear for the recruitment process of a company by signing its JAF.
8.Companies can view resumes of interested students and shortlist students using their online account.

The date allotment for the companies depends on the following factors:
1.Compensation Package.
2.Growth Prospects in the job.
