Students who aspires for Admissions to Various Under Graduate B.Tech Programs in various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipurand other Deemed & Private Universities) for the session 2012-2013 are hereby informed that Board of Technical Education had Announced RPET 2012 Schedule.  As Per the Schedule Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test RPET 2012 Entrance Test is to be held on 17th MAY, 2012 (Thursday) from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon. 

Eligibility Criteria :  

Education Qualifications :  

1. Students who aspires to appear for RPET 2012 Entrance Test for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan must pass with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer SBC of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
2. students who are appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2012 may can also apply.

Age Limit :  
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible. However, in the case  of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1982 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education mark sheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

RPET 2012 Entrance Test Pattern : 

1. RPET-2012 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one mark each.
3. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.
4. The questions in the test booklet will be both in Hindi as well as in English.

RPET 2012 Test Centers : 

RPET-2012 will be conducted on 17th MAY, 2012 (Thursday) from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon at the centers in the following cities : Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Churu, Hindaun City, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Kota, Pilani, Sikar, Sirohi, Sri Ganganagar, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk and Udaipur.

Procedure for Submission of RPET Application Form (Hardcopy) to the RPET-2012 office  

Students who applied online for RPET 2012 Entrance Tare hereby notified t0 check the RPET 2012 application form Submission Process for Submitting their RPET 2012 Application form. Last date for accepting RPET 2012 Application forms at DTE Office is 16th April, 2012,  5.00 P.M.

REPT 2012 Application form Submission Process : 

Students who filled RPET Online Application form successfully should send the RPET 2012 Application form to the DTE office. Students who registered and applied online can check the RPET 2012 application form Submission Process.

1. All the students who filled the application hereby informed that they should take a Print out of RPET 2012 Application after Final Submission of RPET 2012 Online application.

2. Attach a Copy of Challan with the Hardcopy of filled in RPET 2012 online Application form

3. Applicants must also enclose the Documents Mentioned Below while submitting their RPET 2012 Application Form. Here is the List of Enclosures to be Submitted along with REPT 2012 Application Form:

• An attested copy of Certificate / Marksheet of  High School / Secondary bearing Date of Birth of the candidate.
• An attested copy of Mark sheet of 10+2 Examination, as a proof of having passed the qualifying examination.  In case of result of XII is awaited, zerox copy of admission card of XII Examination-2012 is to be enclosed.
• An attested copy of relevant certificate necessary for claiming reservation. (Refer Certificate No. 2 to 6 as applicable)
• An attested copy of the relevant domicile certificate whichever is applicable [Refer Certificate No. 1(i) to 1(vi)].

NOTE : To avail benefit of domicile, reservation etc., the candidate will have to produce the requisite  certificate(s). For the convenience of candidates formats of such certificates are available on the websites.

The Printed copy of the RPET 2012 Application Form with duly signed by the candidate along with requisite documents and  bank challan must reach at above address latest by 5.00 P.M. of 16th April, 2012 irrespective of the fact that whether 16th April, 2012 is a working day or not. The hard copy of the Application Form (RPET-2012) received after last date and time shall not be accepted.
It is compulsory to send the application form (hardcopy) along with challan and photocopy of documents to the following address through REGISTERED / SPEED POST (not through courier) :

RPET 2012 Marks Sheets shall be dispatched by post, soon after the publication of RPET merit list 2012.

Not Received RPET Marks Sheets 2012 ???

If the applicants did not receive the RPET 2012 marks sheet within two weeks of publication of RPET 2012 merit list, for any reason whatsoever, he/she should write to the Coordinator RPET 2012 for another copy which shall be issued on payment of Rs. 100/- by Bank Draft in favour of the Coordinator RPET-2012 payable at Jodhpur.

RPET 2012 Merit List Ranking Criteria :

The merit of the candidates securing equal marks in aggregate in the RPET-2012 will be decided in the following order :

1.  The marks obtained in Mathematics in RPET-2012 will determine the relative merit of such candidates.
2.  In case of marks in Mathematics also being equal, the marks obtained in Physics at RPET-2012 will determine the merit.
3.  In case there is a tie on the basis of the above criteria, the relative merit will be decided by the age of the candidate. The candidate of higher age (older candidate) will be placed on higher merit.

Instructions and Guidelines for RPET 2012 Re-Evaluation / Re-Totalling 

Students who applied and Appeared for the RPET 2012 Entrance Test are hereby informed that RPET 2012 Results will be announced by the Board of Technical education, Rajasthan State. Students who want to apply for Re Evaluation and Re Totaling for RPET 2012 can check the Guidelines mentioned below.

Guidelines for RPET 2012 Re-Evaluation / Re-Totalling :

Students who are interested to apply for Re Evaluation of their RPET 2012 results can apply for Re-Evaluation / Re Totalling. For applying for Re Evaluation Students must have to make a request on plain paper giving details such as Roll No, Name, Centre etc. to the Coordinator RPET-2012 within 07 days (Seven days) from the display of ANSWER KEYS of RPET-2012 (on RPET Notice Board) and on payment of Rs. 100/- by Bank Draft in favour of the Coordinator RPET-2012 payable at Jodhpur.

• The RPET 2012 Answer sheets of the test shall not be subject to production before any Court (Civil or Criminal) or before the candidate or anybody else on his / her behalf or before any internal or external authority.
• The RPET 2012 Answer sheets of candidates shall be preserved only for 3 months from the date of publication of the RPET-2012 merit list.
