Madhya Pradesh Students who are Preparing for Admissions to Indian Prestigious Institutes IITs, NITs and IIITs for the Next Academic year 2013 are hereby informed that Government of Madhya Pradesh had Decided to Join Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test ISEET from Next Academic Year for Admission to engineering Courses in Engineering Colleges in the State.

Conforming the Madhya Pradesh State stand on the Participating ISEET Sanjay Singh Principal Secretary of Technical Education Announced that the State will join the  ISEET from 2013. As Per the New Format The State will prepare a separate Merit List. This State Merit List will be used by each state for giving admissions in Engineering and Pharmacy colleges.

Higher Education Officials said that Most of Students in MP are appearing for IIT JEE, AIEEE and MP PET. As the MHRD Plans to merge the Entrance Exam for Admissions to IITs and NITs the State also Decided to Merge MP PET in ISEET so that Students will be benefited as they need not fill Application Form Separately and Appear for entrance exams for Admissions to IITs, NITs and Engineering Colleges in MP.

Students of Bhopal who are appearing for Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test MP PET 2012 for Admissions Various Undergraduate Engineering Programs in Government and Self Financed Private Engineering Colleges in Madhya Pradesh are hereby informed that several engineering from Bhopal have applied for AICTE to close down the Information Technology IT Branch from Their Institutes.

Because of the Down turn of IT sector and with less Out Sourcing opportunities from US and European Countries several Institutes predict that there will be no takers for IT Branch. As per the Sources among the 106 Engineering Colleges 70 % of Colleges applied for All India Council for Technical Education AICTE to closing the IT Branch.

As per the Details Give by the Directorate of Technical Education Madhya Pradesh State among the 223 Engineering Colleges In the State around 20 Private Engineering Colleges has not even a Single admissions.

The Directorate of Technical Education Madhya Pradesh DTE MP Will conduct Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test for Providing Admissions to Various Courses in the 223 Engineering Institutes in the State. The DTE MP state has Conducted two Rounds of Counseling for Providing Admissions. But Even after Two Round Several Seats in Private Engineering Colleges in the State remained Vacant. Source Said that In additions to this 20 Private Engineering Colleges another 60 Engineering Colleges has total Number of Admissions which are almost Negligible.

As Per the Details Give By the Technical Education Department in Madhya Pradesh for the 223 Engineering Colleges 1,11,000 Students Appeared for Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test MP PET 2011 and 70,000 Students had Registered for the Online Counseling  among them 50,000 Students had Taken Admissions in various Engineering Colleges.
