JEE Main 2013 Applicants who aspires to check their JEE Main 2013 OMR Answer Sheets, JEE 2013 Answer Keys and Calculation Sheet along with the Fee on or  Before  15^th June 2013.

JEE Main 2013 Normalization Procedure for Class XII Board Marks

All Students who appeared for JEE Main 2013 Entrance Test are hereby informed that the JEE Interface Group(JIG) has Published the JEE Main 2013 Normalization Procedure for Class 12th Board Marks. All Students who appeared for JEE Main 2013 Entrance Test and Interested to check JEE Main 2013 Normalization Procedure for Class XII Board Exam.

JEE Main 2013 procedure for normalization of Board marks will be as follows:- 

i. First the Students must Note down the aggregate marks (A0) obtained by each student in JEE Main 2013.
ii. Compute the percentile (P) of each student on the basis of aggregate marks in his/her own board (B0) computed from the list of five subjects specified (each marked out of 100). The percentile is to be computed among all students of the board whose subject combinations meet the eligibility criteria of JEE-Main.
iii. Determine the JEE- Main aggregate marks corresponding to percentile (P) at the All- India level. Regard this as B1.
iv. Also, determine the JEE- Main aggregate marks corresponding to percentile (P) among the set of aggregate scores obtained in the JEE- Main by the students of that board. Regard this as B2.

The normalized board score of the candidate will be computed as:  Bfinal = 0.5 * (B1 + B2)

For the purpose of admission to CFTIs where it has been decided to use the JEE Mains performance and the Normalized Board performance in the 60:40 ratio, the composite score for drawing the merit list will be computed as:
C = 0.6 * AO + 0.4 * Bfinal,

JEE Main Normalising Process For Class XII Marks

All the students who are appeared in the JEE Main 2013 are hereby informed that the results was announced yesterday. These results are used to  decide the eligibility of a student to appear in JEE (Advanced). All the students who wrote the JEE Main 2013  can check its merit calculation details here.

The officials announced that  JEE Advanced will be held on June 2.  Final merit list for JEE Mains will be published in July after results of all 29 school boards, including the CBSE, are declared. From this year, all technical institutions, except IITs, will give weightage of 60 pc to JEE Mains scores and 40 pc to school marks for preparing merit of all 12,00,000 JEE Main candidates.

Merit Calculation Process :

 Step 1: Suppose you score 310 out of 360 in JEE Mains and your percentile is 90. Your JEE Mains contribution to aggregate score will be 310 multiplied by 0.6 (60 pc) equals 186

Step 2: Suppose your school board score is 620 out of 1000 in West Bengal Board. These marks will be converted into percentile which is say 74.

  Step 3: JEE Main score list will be scanned to see what marks correspond to 74 percentile you got in school. Suppose those marks are 265. These will be multiplied by 0.2 (half of 40 pc weightage) to yield 53 marks

 Step 4: Computer will again use your school percentile to see how many are representative of that percentile in JEE Mains score list but this time it will only see marks for 74 percentile attained by JEE Main candidates from West Bengal. Suppose that score is 200. This will be multiplied with 0.2 (remaining weightage for 40 pc school marks) to yield 40 marks.

Step 5: Marks from Step 1, 3 and 4 will be added to calculate aggregate score. JEE merit list will thus be prepared.

Step 6: Three tables will help in calculations – marks to percentile table for each of 29 boards; Marks to percentile table for JEE scores; marks to percentile table for JEE scorers from each of the 29 boards
