Honeywell innovators scholarship programme

Honeywell International is looking for strong engineering and technology talent from target universities around the globe. As part of our talent strategy we offer the Innovators Scholarship Program to 17 target universities in China, the Czech Republic, India, Malaysia, Mexico and the United States. The program consists of a paid internship at a Honeywell facility and scholarship money for the student to apply toward their last year in school. Scholarship amounts will vary by country.

Program Requirements

  • A current student pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines
    -Aerospace Engineering
    -Chemical Engineering
    -Computer Engineering
    -Electronics & Communication
    -Electrical Engineering
    -Instrumentation
    -Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong academic performance (this requirement will vary by country)
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to perform labor in one of the following countries is required:    China, the Czech Republic, India, Mexico, Malaysia or the United States

Chine:

  • Beihang University, Beijing
  • Chong Qing University, Chongqing
  • Dong Nan University, Nanjing
  • Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai

India:

  • Cummins College of Engineering, Pune
  • Government College of Engineering, Pune
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad
  • Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Maduri
  • Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum

Malysia:

  • University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur

Mexico:

United States:

ELIGIBILITY:

The Honeywell Innovators Scholarship Program is open to bachelors, masters or select PhD students who will be entering their final academic year of study in 2010 at one of the target universities.

  • A current student pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines
    -Aerospace Engineering
    -Chemical Engineering
    -Computer Engineering
    -Electronics & Communication
    -Electrical Engineering
    -Instrumentation
    -Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong academic performance (this requirement will vary by country)
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to perform labor in one of the following countries is required:China, the Czech Republic, India, Mexico, Malaysia or the United States
  • Online application which includes a candidate profile, copy of your resume/CV, university transcript and response (in English) to two (2) questions in essay form (500   words or less for each question).
  • Essay questions:
    1.Tell me about a project that you managed where there were many obstacles to success. What did you do to overcome those obstacles?
    2. Describe a situation in which you identified a problem and took action to correct it rather than wait for someone else to do so.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

  • November 30, 2009 for China, the Czech Republic, Mexico, India and the US
  • May 1, 2010 for Malaysia
