Missing IIT Kanpur boy traced in hilly regions
Arko Roy the final year student from IIT Kanpur has been missing from more than a month from Delhi, from where he was supposed to leave for a trip with his batchmates. He did not receive any calls since then but expressed anguish on being left alone as his friends had left for the trip without him.
Police had been searching for him in Delhi and then were sent to Uttarakhand to locate him being somewhere near Chamoli and Joshimath.
DIG BP Jogdand has expressed a strong possibility of Arko’s presence in Uttarakhand. Mr Jogdand said that the police had been seeking help of IT experts to locate Arko Roy. His last location had been stated to be in Uttarakhand’s high-altitude regions around Joshimath and Chamoli.
The police team has now been diverted to Uttarakhand. Another senior police official said Arko had been continuously making use of internet, thus the IT experts were trying to trace him through the IP addresses of the computers used by him. Arko has been missing since September 9.
