GATE 2017 New Features – New Changes Introduced for GATE 2017 Exam – Tracking Changed in GATE 2017  – Changes in GATE 2017 Admission Pattern – GATE 2017 Examination Process

New Features & Changes for GATE 2017 Examination and Admissions Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2017 had Some New Features. All Students who are aspiring for Admission to M.Tech. Post Graduate Programs and Ph.D. Doctorial Programs in IISC and IITs for the Academic Year 2017 – 2018 and Searching for New Changes in GATE 2017 Admission Process are hereby informed that the IIT Roorkee which Organize GATE 2017 Entrance Exam had Published the New Updated and Changes Introduced in GATE 2017 Examination. GATE 2017 Admission New Features :- 

New Section in GATE 2017 XE Paper :- 

IIT Roorkee had Decided to Introduce New Section on Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (section H) in the Engineering Science (XE) Paper, After Including Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Topics the Number of Sections in the XE Paper has Increased to Eight (A – H).

New Test Center for GATE 2017 Exam :-

IIT Roorkee had Decided to Add Gorakhpur as GATE 2017 Test Center in Addition to the Existing GATE 2017 Test Centers

GATE 2017 Exam Dates and Sessions :- 

GATE 2017 Entrance Examination for Indian Students and International Candidates will be held on 4 Days they are on 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th February 2017 in Two Sessions

Fore Noon Session :- 9.00 AM – 12.00 Noon

After Noon Session :- 2.00 PM – 5.00 PM

Students must note that any change in GATE 2016 Examination timings shall be displayed on GATE website (www.gate.iitr.ernet.in). The GATE 2017 session timings at GATE 2017 International Centers will be according to their local time which shall be notified well in advance.

GATE 2017 Entrance Exam for International Candidates :- 

From This Year on wards GATE Entrance Exam will be Conducted in Abroad. As Per the Details from Official Sources GATE 2017 Entrance Exam will be held Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates. Students must Not that the Pattern of GATE 2017 Examination remains same, exam timing / Center shall be notified in GATE 2017 Admit cards. The International candidates should have completed Bachelors degree in Engineering or Masters degree in Science in relevant subject or are in the final year of the program.

For admission of International candidates, a common admission portal is being developed and International candidates shall be informed about it well in time on this GATE website www.gate.iitr.ernet.in

New in GATE 2017 Application Process :- 

No restriction on Second choice of GATE 2016 Examination city to be in the same zone as first choice city. It can be anywhere in India. Thumb impression of candidates needs to be uploaded during the application procedure. Candidates who have completed the qualifying degree, need to upload scanned image of degree completion certificate or final year/semester mark sheet. However, candidates studying in the final year of their qualifying degree need to upload scanned image of pre-final year (or fifth/sixth semester) mark sheet, or provisional certificate letter from his/her Institute as proof of eligibility criterion. Similarly this applies to candidates of AMIE, AMICE and other similar programs
