Shaastra is unique in the word. Why so ? Student Festivals are conducted by almost all premium Engineering and MBA Institutes. what is the Speciality of Shaastra?
Shaastra is the first ISO 9001:2000 certified student festival in this universe. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) will host its annual techfest Shaastra from September 30 to October 4 2009 . This is the 11th edition. The Tech fest always recieved a heavystudent participation from all over the world with more than 25,000 students vying for a huge prize money. It is not all about the prize money, but it is the name and the fame associated with the institute IITM.
This Festival is organized by the students every year in the month of october. Interesting events this year are:
Online Programming Contest, which would generate a huge interest in tech freaks. Hackfest where participants modify existing code to enhance the functionality. aeroFest , a professional air show. Super Manager — a business management event where participants hire team members for their fictional IPL team.
Is this only for engineering students or can anyone attend. what is the procedure for registering to this and attend this
@Sateesh. K Well, it’s open to all students across the world. There’s no restriction as such, as long as you are a student. And if you are a student, be there at Shaastra 2009. And yes, the prize money is much greater than 10 lakhs and not 1 lakh, which turns out be a miscommunication of some sorts
