 UGC takes over responsibilities of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)

 UGC takes over responsibilities of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) All Students are hereby informed that the University Grants Commission has Announced that the Public and Technical Institutions which has been Approved by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE are hereby informed that University Grants Commission has issued a circular today.

As Per the Supreme court Order on April 25 2013 University Grants Commission UGC has prepared the draft Regulations on Technical and Professional EducationaL Institutes which has been Approved by All India Council for Technical Education AICTE. 

University Grants Commission has posted these Regulations on UGC website : www.ugc.ac.in  The stakeholders are asked to submit their views on this before 9th December, 2013. It means that all the engineering and management institutions will have to seek approval from UGC, instead of AICTE for establishing / starting new course / college.
