CSIR B.Tech Engineering Admissions 2012 – CSIR B.Tech Engineering Admissions for TNEA 2012 Candidates – CSIR B.Tech Admissions for AIEEE 2012 Admissions under Other State Category.
All the Students who aspires for Admissions to B.Tech (Chemical & Electrochemical Engineering) Programs in Cenral Electrochemical Research Institute CSIR Tamil Naud under Other State Quota Admissions are hereby informed that the CSIR Institute has Published CSIR B.Tech Admission Notification for the Year 2012.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned 40 seats for the B.Tech programme in Chemical and Electrochemical Engineering offered at CSIR – Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI). Out of these 40 seats, 35 seats are for Tamil Nadu State candidates and these 35 seats are filled through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2012 (TNEA – 2012). The remaining 5 seats are reserved for other state candidates.
AIEEE 2012 Qualified Students from other State can apply for the Apply for 5 Seats Reserved for other state quota admissions thorugh the AIEEE 2012 Scores
Eligibility Criteria for CSIR B.Tech Admissions 2012 for Other State Students :
- Applicant should be a citizen of India.
- The minimum academic requirement is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent recognized by any State Board / Central Board or any other board accepted by Anna University, Chennai. The candidates must have taken Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
Mode of Selection of Students for CSIR B.Tech Admissions :
Allocation of Seats:
SC – 1 Seat, OBC – 1 Seat OTHERS – 3 Seats The allotment for SC: ST will be in the ratio 2:1 (Model: year 1 – SC student; Year 2 – SC student; Year 3 – ST student) The selection of candidates will be on the basis of scores obtained in AIEEE 2012.
CSIR 2012 Counselling Application Procedure :
The candidates should download the application form and send the filled in application form by post with a Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- (General and OBC) or Rs. 100/- (SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of “Director, CECRI” payable at “Karaikudi”. The candidates should attach the attested xerox copies of the following documents along with application. The candidates should also send a self addressed cover of size 26.5 cm x 11.5 cm.

2. 10th & 12th marksheet
3. Community Certificate

CSIR 2012 Counselling / Admissions Procedure:
Candidates will be called for counselling in the order of their merit. Based on the merit and communal reservation allotment will be made.
The counselling call letter will be sent in the self addressed cover enclosed by the candidate.
The dates of the counselling will be tentatively in the 1st week of August 2012.
Candidates have to produce all their original certificates during counselling. If a candidate has deposited all the certificates in an Institution where he/she has already been admitted, a letter from the Head of the Institution should be produced to that effect. In such cases only, photocopies of certificates attested only by the head of the institution will be accepted for verification. The provisional allotment order will be withheld and it will be released only on production of all the original certificates.
Candidates selected for the programme will be required to join the course immediately after finishing all necessary formalities.
