1. I have studied in Karnataka for 7 years and passed in SSLC.   Under which clause do I belong to and what documents
are to be submitted during verification?
Your eligibility clause is (a).
you have to submit
(a) SSLC Marks card (b) II PUC marks card (c) Study certificates for 7 years (d) Caste and income certificate if any

2. I have studied 11th and 12th standard in Karnataka and my mother has studied up to SSLC in Karnataka.    Under which clause I belong to and what documents are to be submitted during verification?
Your eligibility clause is (b),
you have to submit the following documents
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Study certificate of your mother for 7 years in Karnataka
4. Candidate study certificate for having studied 1st and 2nd PUC in Karnataka
5. Caste and income certificate if any.

3. I am a Horanadu Kannadiga candidate. I applied for KCET‐2012 under clause (c). What documents are to be submitted during verification?
Applicants Must Send the Below mentioned Documents During KCET 2012 Document Verification
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Study certificate showing Kannada as  mother tongue
4. Domicile certificate in Karnataka
5. Domicile certificate outside the State
6. Parents 10th marks card or cumulative record showing mother tongue as Kannada.
7. Sworn in declaration of the parent regarding mother tongue on  Rs. 20 stamp paper

4. I am student studying in Akkalkot, my mother tongue is Kannada. I have taken Kannada examination. Under what eligibility clause I belong to and what documents are to be submitted during verification?
You belong to eligibility clause (d).
You have to submit the following Documents at the time of KCET 2012 Document Verification.
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Study certificate showing Kannada as mother tongue
4. Residential certificate from the Tahsildar
5. Sworn in declaration regarding mother tongue on Rs. 20 e stamp paper.

5. I am a defence personnel served for  1 year only in Karnataka.  My daughter has passed 12th standard from Kendriya Vidyalaya.   While applying I mentioned a eligibility clause as (e).  what documents are to be submitted during verification?

KCET 2012 Applicants under this category should submit the Following Documents at the Time of Certificate Verification
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Study certificate of 12th standard.
4. Copy of the Employment certificate of the parent issued from the record office of the defence unit.

6. I am a defence personnel serving in Punjab.  I declared my home town as Kodagu.  My son has completed his 12th standard examination in Punjab.   Under which clause of eligibility my son is eligible to write CET 2012 and what documents do I have to produce
at the time of verification?
You can claim the eligibility clause as(f).  You have submit the following documents.
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Parents home town declaration from the record office of the defence unit.
4. Caste income certificate if any.

7. I am an ex‐serviceman.   My daughter has applied for CET under eligibility Clause (h). What documents I have to submit during verification?
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Parents home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by the Joint Director or Deputy Director of the concerned district and counter signed by the Director Department of Sainik Welfare and re‐settlement, Bangalore.
4. Caste and income certificate if any.

8. I am an employee working in Central Bank of India.   My daughter has studied 2nd PUC in Karnataka and has applied under eligibility clause(i).    What documents I have to submit during verification?
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. Study certificate of the candidate for having studied 2 nd PUC in Karnataka.
4. Employment certificate from the employer indicating the parents period of employment in Karnataka and transferable anywhere in India.

9. I am a Retired Central Government employee.  My daughter has completed her 12th std in Delhi.    I have applied for CET 2012 under clause (j).     What documents I have to submit during verification?
1. SSLC Marks card
2. II PUC marks card
3. A study certificate of the parent for having studied 7 years in Karnataka
4. Home town declaration certificate while joining the service and showing that is transferable anywhere in India.

10. I have studied 1st standard to 10th standard in Kannada medium in Adoni in Andhra Pradesh.   I have written the eligibility clause as (n).   What documents I have to submit during verification?
a. SSLC Marks card
b. II PUC marks card
c. Domicile certificate from Andhra Pradesh
d. Study certificate for having studied 1st std to 10th std  Kannada medium.

11. I belong to SC community.   Can I claim eligibility under clause (e).   Am I eligible to get the benefit of reservation?
No.   The benefit of reservation will not be applicable for eligibility clauses, (c), (d), (e), (g), (i), (m) and (n).

12. Which of the eligibility clauses are applicable for defence personnel?
The clauses (e), (f) and (g) are applicable for defence personnel.

13. If any column is left blank while filling the Application Form what happens?
It will be rejected – please verify and confirm yourself before submitting the same.

14. My SC certificate is valid for 5years. But your Notification says that Caste Certificate will be valid only if it is obtained 6 months prior to the date of Notification. Which is correct?
The Caste certificate is valid for five years. As per latest Government Order No.   SWD 155 BCA 2012 dated 22‐02‐2012 the Income and Caste certificate issued for SC, ST and OBC is valid for five years. The notification is subject to the Government Orders and Circulars issued from time to time.

15. I belong to OBC Category and my parental Income is 2.5lakhs. Am I eligible for reservation?
Yes. As per G.O. dated 06‐02‐201, the upper Income limit for OBC Category is Rs.3.5 lakhs. If the upper limit exceeds Rs.3.5lakhs, at present it will be considered as General Merit Candidate and no reservation under OBC Category will be available.

16. I have passed my 2nd PU/12th Standard exam in 2010, I wish to write CET 2012 Exam, whether I should obtain the application Form through my old Institution I have studied or can I apply directly to KEA.

You can get the application from your concerned School or College by submitting a DD or Rs.650/‐ for G.M. & OBC (Rs.500/‐for SC/ST/Cat‐1). If you want application by Speed Post from KEA, you have to submit a DD for Rs.750/‐ (within India)

17. I am interested in taking Medical Course only.    Is it compulsory to write the Mathematics paper?
No. You can attend Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject papers only.

18. My mother tongue is Kodava and residing outside the State of Karnataka.   My parents are from Karnataka.  But I do not know how to write Kannada.  Is it compulsory to write the Kannada language exam?
Yes. It is compulsory to write the Kannada language exam and score a minimum of 12 marks out of 50.

19. I have studied PUC with Statistics as one of the Optional subject.    Will the marks obtained in statistics be considered for eligibility in Engineering course?
No. It will not be considered for eligibility.

20. I will produce manual Caste and Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar of my Taluk. Will it be accepted?
No. You have to produce Computerized Caste Income Certificate for claiming the reservation benefits issued by the competent authority.

21. I am a student studying outside the State of Karnataka. Should I write my register number of the Examination in my application?
Not necessary

22. My Son has been studying 5th standard to 2nd PUC in Karnataka. My wife and I have studied in Karnataka completely. I would like to know under which eligibility clause I come under?
Your Son is eligible for CET 2012, under clause a.

23. Can I appear for CET 4th time?
Yes, you can appear for CET.

24. I have completed my PUC in 2004‐05 and also Diploma in Pharmacy in the year 2008‐09. Am I eligible for CET‐2012?
Yes. You can appear for CET‐2012.

25. I have got the President’s Certificate for Scouts and Guides. Am I eligible for reservation?
Yes.  You will be considered for allotment of seats under S/G in the order of merit.

26. I belong to Anglo Indian Community; I want to claim the benefit of reservation. Which certificate I should submit to claim the same?
You have to produce a certificate on the specified date to KEA, issued by registered Association of Anglo Indian Community in the State of Karnataka counter signed by Anglo Indian MLA nominated by the Government.

27. I belong to Ex‐defence clause ‘h’. Is it necessary that the Ex‐defence certificate is counter signed by the Director?
It should be counter signed by the Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and re‐settlement, Bangalore.

28. I have participated in all India Thal Sainik Camp in 10th standard and having certificate with me. Am I eligible for NCC reservation?
Yes. You have to produce the required document on a specified date in the brochure to KEA.

29. I am having NCC A Certificate. I am appearing for NCC B certificate Exam. Am I eligible for NCC reservation?

No. If you have completed NCC B certificate, then only you are eligible.

30. I have a Certificate from a Government Doctor, showing that the percentage of disability is more than 40%. Is it necessary to appear before the Committee of Doctors in KEA?
Yes. You can also show the certificate that you are having, to the Committee of Doctors.
31. I belong to 2A Category, in which format I have to submit my category certificate?
Candidates belonging to 2A category should submit the category certificate in the form F in the computerized format.

32. I have studied from 1st standard to 10th standard in a Rural area, which has now been converted into an urban area. Am I eligible to claim the benefit of reservation in Rural?
If you have studied 1st to 10 th standard in your place before the date of notification as urban area then you are eligible.

33. I am residing in Tamil Nadu. My Son is studying in 11th and 12th standard in Karnataka. Ihave studied 12 years in Karnataka. Am I eligible for CET‐2012?
Yes. Your Son is eligible under clause b.

34. I am a Hornadu Kannadiga Candidate. Do I need to submit the photocopies of the documents under clause c as in the web?
Yes. You have to produce the photocopies of all the documents compulsorily, when you appear for Kannada language examination.

35. I am a student, native of Orissa studying in 12th standard in CBSE School at Bangalore and my reservation category is ‘SC ’. How much DD I have to submit to the school to procure the brochure cum application?
If you possess a certificate of reservation issued from the jurisdictional Tahsildar from Karnataka then you can submit the DD as per the notification.

36. I am a retired Central Government Employee from Karnataka.  My daughter has passed the 12th standard from M.P. Am I eligible for CET?
If you have studied 7 years in Karnataka, declared your Home Town as a place in Karnataka and transferable anywhere in India, then you are eligible under clause

37. I am a defence employee from Karnataka. My Son is studying 12 th standard in Agartala. Under which clause of eligibility I come under?
You come under eligibility clause f, if you have declared any place as home town in Karnataka at the time of joining the service.

38. I am working in Canara Bank.  I am from Rajasthan. My Son is studying in 12th standard. Am I eligible for Government seat?
If you are transferable anywhere in India as per terms and conditions of employment and worked in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year, then you are eligible underclause I.

39. I am a Horanadu Kannadiga belonging to Scheduled Caste. Can I avail the benefit of reservation?
No. You can claim the seat only under General Merit.

40. I am a Gadinadu Kannadiga belonging to Scheduled Tribe. Can I avail the benefit of reservation?
No. You can claim the seat only under General Merit.

41. I am a Defence personnel belonging to Tamil Nadu, working in Karnataka. I belong to Agamudi caste, which comes under Category‐1 in Karnataka and my Son is studying in MES College, I come under clause E. Am I eligible for the benefit of reservation?
No. You cannot claim benefit of reservation.

42. I am a General Merit Candidate studying in Rural Area, where my parents Income are less than 2.00lakhs. Which certificate I have to produce to claim the benefit of Rural reservation?
You can produce an Income Certificate or a non‐creamy layer certificate issued from the Jurisdictional Tahsildar.

43. What is the syllabus for CET?

It is based 1st and 2nd PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre‐University Education of Karnataka State.

44. Does CET Evaluation involve negative scoring?

No. It does not involve any negative scoring.

45. Is there a blue print for CET question paper?
No.

46. In Physics and Chemistry is there any limit on the number of    numerical problem?
No.

47. Can I change my answers in CET, once it is marked?
No. It cannot be changed.

48. What are the passing marks in CET?
There is no prescribed minimum mark for pass.

49. Do I get a marks Card for CET‐2012?
You can see your ranking in the KEA website.

50. Is there any Woman reservation in the seat selection process?
No.
51. Is it necessary to get the study certificate counter signed by BEO for CBSE & CISCE students?
No, it is not necessary to be counter signed.

52. Is it necessary to get the study certificate of 1st PU and 2nd PU to be counter signed by DDPU?
No. it is not necessary to be counter signed.

    I have applied in Horanadu category, i hv completed my sslc and PUC in Thane Mumbai
    however Thane Tahshiladar is not issuing me the resedential certificate. They say that only if i am residing in Thane more than 10 years than only i am eligible for residence certificate, but KCET is asking for the same, i am not able to understand what to do can you please guide me.

    I have made mistake while fillin d omr application instead of eligibility criteria ‘a’ i marked to ‘b’ ie i need to produce study certificate of my parents which is not possible…bt am eligible fo reservation benifit since i belong to 3B group…so whethe its compulsory need to submit study certificate of parents when ther is a caste certificate….please do reply me..& is there any solution for this..

    Scholars Academy school of Chikkabidrakallu, Tumkur road, Bangalore was not coming under rural when I was studying there so I did not mark for rural category in my application. But now it is coming under rural and I have the certificate also. Can I apper to councelling under rural category?

    Sir,

    I have committed a mistake while submitting the CET online application
    i.e.eligibility clause code selected by me is “b”as per which i have to produce
    study certificates of my parents which is not possible.
    So while verification time can i opt in the other clause code if i don’t need
    reservation benefit?

    Income crtificate will not valid after 6 Months.

    Also you have to Submit the New Income Certificate for KCET 2013 Counselling / Document Verification
