Indian Institutes Information of Technology IIITs  have also agreed for the Human Resource Development Ministry Proposal on Conducting the Single National Level Entrance Exam for admissions to Undergraduate Engineering and Science Programs.

MHRD Proposed the National level single Entrance exams for the Indian Prestigious Institutes like IITs, NITs and IIITs. The Ramasami Committee also suggested to conduct a single Entrance Exam.  At a meeting of the Board of Directors of All IITs, NITs and IIITs the MHRD Minister Kapil Sibal Said that this Proposal was already agreed by the Indian Institutes of Technology IITs and National Institutes of Technology NITs.

Sibal said that the Ramasami committee recommends for A Single National Level Entrance Exam for IITs, NITs and IIITs to reduce the burden like multiplicity of Entrance Test and over dependency on Coaching.  He also said that the Final Decision on Conducting the National Level Single Entrance Exam for IITs, NITs and IIITs will be taken by the Central Advisory Board of Education before the Single Entrance Test is conducted.

As per the MHRD Proposal All the Prestigious Indian Institutes has approved the Proposal of single entrance exam in the place of IIT JEE and AIEEE. If every thing went well then Students can be able to write a single Entrance Exam for Admission to Undergraduate Programs in IITs, NITs and IIITs from 2013-14.
